Communications Engineering
Nova Systems and its subsidiary company, Auspace, have a long tradition of providing exemplary communications technology services to the Department of Defence, Government & commercial organisations. Auspace has been at the forefront of communications design, communications modelling and spectrum planning analysis in Australia for at least the last 10 years. Due to its high standing within the satellite and space communications arena, Nova Systems purchased Auspace in 2007.
Nova Systems communications engineers have extensive experience with every part of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, meaning they know how all the OSI layers fit together to create a total communications solution. Nova communications engineers have in-depth knowledge of physical layer: technologies such as wired protocols (RS422, RS485, T1/E1 etc); wireless protocols (802.11a-n); satellite & earth transceiver stations; right through to the presentation layer where security protocols such as encryption and decryption are handled. Nova Systems communications engineers are also proficient in military communications systems ranging from narrowband systems at UHF through to wideband systems at X and Ka –band.
Nova’s communication engineers have experience in providing leading edge solutions that provide optimum bandwidth, throughput and security within tight regulatory, schedule and budgetary constraints.
