22/11/2011 Nova’s Continued AWD Support
“A life on the Ocean Wave”....may be a few years away yet but the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Project will result in the delivery of three ships to the RAN fleet. These destroyers will represent the most technologically advanced vessels to be operated by the RAN. Nova is playing a very prominent and active role in the genesis of these AWD Hobart Class ships, in both the Adelaide and Sydney project nodes. The relationship with our client, Raytheon Australia, began in 2006 and is set to continue into 2012 and beyond. With Ian Salter Nova’s Maritime Program Manager and other experienced ex-Navy members such as John Godwin and Roy Utting, we have direct networking links with the AWD RAN personnel and folk who talk their language. Members of the Nova team are providing invaluable support in both technical and business teams within AWD. The environment is at times challenging, with a large number of teams all trying to coordinate their individual efforts into the greater good. Raytheon Australia appreciates the knowledge, capability and efficiency that Nova adds to their ability to execute successfully.

al conference was Where to from here? ... Growing the business and the major focus for Nova was how important our culture is in growing. The highlight of the conference was the atmosphere – however as our team grows we worry each year about how we can achieve the same team building outcomes, have as much fun, and reinforce our culture with so many people. Nova is on a rapid growth plan to position as one of the top ten professional services firms within Australia in the next 4-5 years. Next year’s conference is planned to have over 400 staff and partners attend.
